Hacienda Vargas bed and Breakfast

Hacienda Vargas is a beautiful place with tons of potential. Our wedding was a success but I must say that the owners (while accomidating) can be a little rigid. Also, it was very clear that children werent the most welcomed guests. I was very dissapointed at the way cynthia treated some of the vendors as well. None the less, it is a lovely venue and you do get to provide your own alcohol and catering which is a plus.

A very quiant and intimate atmosphere. Perfect for outdoor events. The weather is beuatiful in New Mexico and if you want the weather and the environment this is a fabulous place. The whole venue has a very rustic New Mexico feel. It was very convienient to have the whole place for ourselves, parents and wedding party for the weekend. You do have to put your own work into it and you have to rent linens and plates and such, but it makes it very malleable to your own desires. You can choose your own caterer too! (this sold me on the place)

Hacienda Vargas is an adorable little bed and breakfast. It has a charming rustic, New Mexican atmosphere. The price was very reasonable and the owners, Cynthia and Richard, were very accomodating and flexible. They didn't have all of the restrictions that many other venues have such as a specific caterer, type of music, etc. They helped out so much in making sure that our ceremony and reception went as smoothly as possible. The only negative thing I have to say about this venue is that they are not exactly child friendly. So if you have a lot of rowdy little kids who will be attending your wedding, be sure to appoint someone to watch after them. Other than that, I highly recommend this venue.
